This posting is the first time that I'm experimenting with hosting the photos off-site.

I'm trying out Google's Picasa because it had a number of features that I wanted to try out

Those include...

• Geotagging. Each photo has it's location "geotagged", so you can see where it was taken on the map. In this particular case I manually placed the photos on the map, but in the future I hope to automate it.
• Auto face-tagging. I haven't put this on the website yet, but internally it auto-tags people's faces in the photos. Makes searching SO much better.
• Comments. I've always wanted to have a comments area so viewers (you!) can leave comments on the photos.
